It gives me immense pleasure to know that Daffodil International University (DIU) is going to hold a ceremony on 16 July 2011 to provide laptop computers free of cost to the students.

Quality of higher education has been a serious concern in our country for decades. But quality education is possibly the only way to the national progress. Some private universities, besides renowned public universities, are taking stride to improve the quality of higher education and develop world-class human resources for catering to the needs of the nation and that of the world at large. It is very encouraging that Daffodil International University took the initiative to provide students with laptops. I believe that the university will make this initiative more effective by providing technology friendly education through IT infrastructure of its own. I hope that DIU will contribute more significantly to ensure high quality tertiary level education in the country and will be an inspirational model to other universities of Bangladesh
